Temporary above ground pool operators play a vital role in helping schools deliver high-quality swimming provision. The Every Child Swims Foundation provides funding that schools can apply for, helping reduce the financial barriers that often prevent children from learning to swim.

Quality Assurance
Approval Criteria
To access funding, TAGP providers must first ensure they meet the Foundation’s criteria and self-certify their eligibility. After self-certification, providers can apply for part-funding on behalf of schools that require financial assistance.
Apply To Be An Approved Provider
In order to become an approved TAGP Provider for the Every Child Swims Foundation, you must meet ALL of the following criteria:

Operates as a Companies House–registered Limited Company.

Holds a minimum of £5 million public liability and third-party insurance. Valid certification will be requested.

Has a complete PTOP and PSOP by an industry professional or consultant, available on request.

At least one swim teacher holds a recognised Level 2 teaching qualification, and the session is supported by an additional qualified lifeguard with an appropriate, nationally recognised lifeguarding certification.

Pool bather load never exceeds 70% of capacity and the pool operates for no more than 40 hours per week (including extracurricular use).

Pool water is tested every 2 hours using photometers, with results uploaded to a secure electronic system and stored for a minimum of 5 years.
